About us

On February 13 2021, an online conference of over 300 people set up the Labour Campaign for Free Speech. We agreed a ‘Charter for Free Speech‘, a ‘Charter for Labour Party members’ rights‘ and elected a steering committee of 10 people (see below).

We also decided to set up a membership structure – please consider becoming a member in order to support our fight for free speech and attend our all-members’ meetings and conferences. You do not need to be a member or supporter of the Labour Party to join us – our name stems from the fact that the campaign against free speech, particularly on Israel/Palestine, has been most viciously conducted in the Labour movement, from where it has spread into wider society.
